It's known for its smooth and stable flight, gentle handling characteristics and strong safety record. Its “6-pack” instrumentation is easy to learn and understand. As a high-wing airframe, passengers can fully appreciate unparalleled views of the world below as only riding in small aircraft can provide. Despite its age, it will happily cruise at 120 mph as the crow flies.
ZP is equipped with a Garmin GNC 355 GPS radio and navigation unit linked to its GI106b Indicator. A [Lynx L3] Mode S transponder provides dual-band ADS-B I/O and displays nearby aircraft on its display. A secondary communication and navigation radio panel (which is itself tied to a secondary OBS) feeds into a radio selection panel to keep workload light when surveilling AWOS and ATIS. 3ZP is capable of WAAS-enhanced GPS navigation, RNAV and ILS precision approaches, VOR-DME navigation and connects to Foreflight making loading and updating the flight plan seamless.
